Hello Ken,

Please tell me - did you uninstall it through Programs & Features and ten during installation you see any particular error messages?

Or does the installation seem to succeed, but the plugin pane doesn't show up in Outlook?

Also, can you see it in Outlook's Add-Ins -> COM Add-ins list and check it off?

Best regards,
David

I removed it from outlook, in manage addins. I did not see any errors when installing. It does not appear in outlook or in the checklist

Hi,

Try re-installing again, but right click on the installer and use Run As Admin. Does this allow it to get re-installed?

Regards,
Brendon.

I uninstalled using Windows Programs and features. Tried re-installing using Run as Admin. This still does not install it. I can't see it in Outlook and I can't see it in the list of Addins

Ken,

But now (and always) you do see it in Programs & Features, is that correct?

In general, it always should have been uninstalled through Programs & Features and not Outlook's Add-ins section. I suspect that this first incomplete un-instalation might have caused some issues.

Please make sure that you close Outlook first, then uninstall the plugin through Programs & Features, assuming you see it there now, then try to clear any files the add-in might have added, especially those in:
- Users/{username}/AppData/Local/Todoist
- Program Files (x86)/OutlookTodoistADX

And after that, try to reinstall it - again, with Outlook closed.

Best regards,
David

David,

I made sure Outlook was closed including 2 program i use to sync to google. Uninstalled using Programs and Features, deleted files per above, restarted my computer, reinstalled Todoist for Outlook, restarted my computer, restarted Outlook and Todoist is not there or in the Addin list.

Getting frustrated. It is probably something with my computer but if it doesn't work with Outlook, the program is not what I need.

Ken,

We can not seem to reproduce this. Which version of Outlook & Windows are you running? Does the installation ask to install anything else? Such as Visual Studio?

Regards,
Brendon.

Microsoft Home and Business 2013 with Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1. Installation does not ask for anything else. I have also installed ACT that has an Addin for Outlook, but I think I installed it after I was having the problem with Todoist and Outlook

Ken,

Did you install any anti-virus software that may block the add-in? Or in general, did you install anything on the day our add-in stopped working?

Also, did you import a large amount of tasks into Todoist at the time this started to happen (this might have caused the initial slow-down)?

Best regards,
David

I installed Act the same day but after I was having problems. I have subsequently uninstalled it - no change. I have not imported any tasks to Todoist, other than adding from my Android.

Ken,

Please go to the folder mentioned earlier (where you've cleared the app's cache - Username/AppData/Local/Todoist/Outlook) and send us (attach them here) the logs. That is - all filed in the Outlook folder except the "Cache" folder.

Especially we're looking for a file called CEF, though the rest (AddinModule etc.) would be also useful.

Best regards,
David
