Okay, you can call me stupid! Exactly how do I integrate ToDoist with Postbox? Where is the file I need and what are the steps to be followed? I love your app, however, the documentation and instructions could be better.

Hi There,

You can grab the XPI files from http://todoist.com/postbox

Then open up Postbox --> Tools --> Add-ons --> Click Gear Icon --> Install Add-on From File.

Regards,
Brendon.

Brendon,

Thanks for your quick response.

I went to the link as you instructed, however, the file it downloaded
appears to be about Chrome. There is no mention of Postbox.

Hi,

On that linked page, you clicked on the red "Get The App" button and it downloaded a file with .xpi at the end?

Can you show what you have downloaded?

Regards,
Brendon.

Brendon,

Yes, I clicked on the Get the App link and downloaded the files shown on
my attachment.

No file with a xpi extension.

Thanks again,
Bill

Hello Bill,

The moment I hover over the "Get the app" button, in the bottom-right corner of my browser, I see the URL it points to and it points directly to the XPI file. This is the full link:

https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/4fd01b873df4a73688f5e90cadfc9fe0/as/Todoist_for_Postbox.xpi

Based on your screenshot, I see that you have a folder called "Todoist" in which you've placed the XPI file and opened it to see its contents (since it's treated like an archive). Please navigate one step "up" to enter just the "Todoist" folder and this is where you'll see the XPI file which you can add to Postpox through its Add-ons/Extensions menu.

Best regards,
David

When I hover over the Get the App I do see the XPI file, however, when
clicked on I get a zip file Todoist_for-Postbox.zip which opens as shown
in my attachment.

Bill,

Do you right-click on the link and choose "Save link as..." are see the file being saved as ZIP ...or XPI? Or with no extension? In the last case, please include .xpi in its name.

Also, what browser are you using? No matter what I've tried, I can't reproduce this, even if I right-click and "Save as..." the link I've posted above, Windows automatically suggest to save it as:

File name: Todoist_for-Postbox
File type: XPInstall Install

Best regards,
David

Bill,

I see on the screenshot that you have IE opened, please try Firefox or Chrome and let me know if the issue persists.

Best regards,
David
