Error in iCalendar export. Missing UID in VEVENT

R

I cannot import ics-todoist on KOrganizer.
[
korganizer(12345)/libakonadi: Incidence has empty UID. id= 41 ; summary= "Text Text Text" Please fix it. Ignoring this incidence
]

The error is on your side (in iCalendar export).
VEVENT need UID
UID only in VCALENDAR is wrong.

See examples on http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5546

Please fix it. :-)
Thank you.

Hi Rafi,

How did you get this error? By importing the URL or importing the ICS file? Please use the subscribe to URL option. Refer to this option for more info on how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzGubOy8Gu.

Hi Clyde,

>How did you get this error?
See .xsession-errors on your Linux.

> By importing the URL or importing the ICS file?
Both.

Video does not exist. But I know what you mean.

-----
Here is an example of the ICS-file from TODOIST:

BEGIN:VCALENDAR
VERSION:2.0
PRODID:-//Apple Computer\\, Inc//iCal 1.5//EN
CALSCALE:GREGORIAN
UID:todoist-XXXXXX-istlightgenerator
X-WR-CALNAME:Todoist
BEGIN:VEVENT
SUMMARY:Text Text Text
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20140708
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20140709
DESCRIPTION:Projekt: Arbeit\n\nDiesen Eintrag vollenden: \nhttp://todoist.com/#project/XXXXXXXX
END:VEVENT
END:VCALENDAR

The problem is: UID does not exist under VEVENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
---

And so it is correct:
BEGIN:VCALENDAR
VERSION:2.0
PRODID:-//Apple Computer\\, Inc//iCal 1.5//EN
CALSCALE:GREGORIAN
UID:todoist-XXXXXX-istlightgenerator
X-WR-CALNAME:Todoist
BEGIN:VEVENT
UID:todoist-XXXXXX-istlightgenerator
SUMMARY:Text Text Text
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20140708
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20140709
DESCRIPTION:Projekt: Arbeit\n\nDiesen Eintrag vollenden: \nhttp://todoist.com/#project/XXXXXXXX
END:VEVENT
END:VCALENDAR

UID must be in VEVENT and VCALENDAR

Another guys have the same problem:
https://todoist.com/Support/show/24606/
https://todoist.com/Support/show/24726/
https://todoist.com/Support/show/32484/

In another words: the ical formats in todoist.com is not correct.
Please fix it.

Rafi
