Getting lock screen notifications even though I've un-checked the "Tasks completed" option

DJ

Problem:

I've un-checked both check boxes for the "Tasks completed" and "Tasks uncompleted" notifications, as I don't want to be bothered every time a colleague completes a task. I've done this on my iPhone 4s (with iOS 7.1.1) and the windows app that I use on my Windows 7 laptop.

However, I'm still getting notifications on my iPhone.

Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

Cheers,
Dave

Hi David,

If you head to the website version (todoist.com) and check those settings, are they correct as well?

If you create a new task and it gets completed, does the same thing happen? As in, are these older tasks created before you changed that setting?

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

Yes, the settings on todoist.com are the same.

I just created a new task in a shared project, assigned it to "Bob", and then had "Bob" mark it as complete. I got a notification on my iPhone immediately.

David,

Please try signing out of the app and back in again. It could have some weird lock from previous settings. If that does not help, try re-installing the app.

Regards,
Brendon.

Brendon, I re-installed the app on my iPhone and that did not solve the problem. I am still experiencing the same problem, that is I'm getting push notifications about tasks completed by someone else in a shared project.

David,

Let me know your iOS version, and confirm app version. I will pass this along to the developers to see if we can find the cause.

Also, your not jailbroken or anything like that? You didn't recently change any settings on the iPhone? And one last time, you have gone through the settings for our iOS app correct?

Regards,
Brendon.

Brendon, here are the details:

* iPhone 4s, not jailbroken, using iOS 7.1.1
* The version of ToDoIst is: 8.3(12197)
* I have the "Tasks completed" and "Tasks uncompleted" check boxes un-checked in the "Notification Settings" page in the ToDoIst app on my iPhone (and also on the Windows app on my Windows 7 laptop)
* I have background app refresh turned on for the ToDoIst app
* I have the ToDoIst app set to show banners, badge app icons, notification center messages, and messages on the lock screen

Let me know if you need anything else.

Cheers,
Dave

Brendon, what's the status of this?

As I'm sure you can imagine, it's very annoying to get lots of notifications about tasks I don't care about.

Is this a wide ranging bug (i.e. can you reproduce it?), or is it just me?
