Unable to delete completed tasks all at once

Hi there,

I'm unable to delete completed tasks all at once on a specific list - normally I'd go to the top right hand corner and click the little 'task actions' button then click 'delete completed tasks'. It's still asking confirmation, but once you click OK nothing is happening - the tasks are still there.

It's also only happening on my shopping list project, which I generally don't put due dates on - the other projects (which usually have due dates) seem to have done tasks disappearing as usual. I just can't figure it out!

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Kimberley,

The option 'delete completed tasks' only deletes tasks that are in history. This means that sub-tasks that are completed are not included in this. So if you have:

[ ] Main task
---- [ ] sub-task 1
---- [ x] sub-task 2

In my example, sub-task 2 is completed and should not disappear when I select the said option. Is this what you're expecting to happen? If not, can you please clarify?

Best Regards,

Clyde

Hi Clyde,
That is true actually - they are all subtasks under 'Supermarket',
'Chemist' etc. Is there possibly a way I could get them to go away short of
deleting them all manually without deleting the 'supermarket' main task?

Hi Kimberley,

I see one workaround. See my example below:

[ ] Supermarket
---- [ ] May 26, 2014
----------- [ ] item
----------- [ ] item
----------- [ ] item
---- [ ] May 27, 2014
----------- [ ] item
----------- [ ] item
----------- [ ] item

If you format your list like in my example, you can just right click on "May 26, 2014" and move them to history. It should include all the sub-tasks along with it. Aside from these, there's no other away of getting rid of completed sub-tasks really fast aside from deleting them one by one.

Best Regards,

Clyde
