This may be a silly questions, but I have just updated the version but how do I know what features have been upgraded and if there is anything new?

Hi Linda,

It's not a silly question at all. If you are referring to those updates that shows up as a green gear in Todoist, there's no way to see the list of changes that was done for those updates. I can tell you though that most of them are just backend/web core improvements.

Follow us in Twitter or in our blog as we post details in there if we have added something worth sharing (e.g. Files that was recently added).

As for the iOS/Android app, each update has a list of things that was added/fixed. You can see this in iTunes or the App Store app in your phone. If your in Android, you should be able to see this in the Play Store as well.

Another silly question. I have a green gear - i active it, but it is show every time i'm open. What is going wrong for me - how do I update?

Hi Peter,

You can click and on the green gear and apply the new available version. Expect to see this often though as we are improving Todoist on a regular basis so even if you applied the update ones, there's a good chance you'll get it again the next few days or so.

Why does the green gear appear almost every time I open TD on the web? Are you guys really making updates every day, or is this because I have unsynced changes from another platform?

Please try to log out and back into your account and/or clear your browser's cache and let us know if this still happens and if so - on what browsers can you reproduce it?

Tried that - still happens fairly often (at least daily). I'm on the latest version of Chrome (beta channel).

It doesn't bother me much - My OCD tendencies just kick in and I'm wondering if I'm missing something if I don't click the green gear to update.

Hi,

Please make sure to click the green gear and select the "New available version" option. That should reload your page and shouldn't get it until the next time we push an update.

Also, just to confirm, you're using Google Canary, correct? Does this happen often in normal Chrome?

I don't know, but it happens more than once a day sometimes. It seems like it happens when I mark a task complete on another platform, then go back to the webapp, which is why I thought it was to indicate there were unsynchronized changes from other platforms.. However, it's not consistent, and I can't really pin down when it appears green or not.

But it's definitely more than once a day on the same machine/platform.

Hi,

You can get the same green gear in the browser, plug-in, and extension even on the same computer. Maybe that's why it seems to be happening multiple times a day? Anyway, as long as you click the "New version available" option, that means that the update has been applied already.

I use Safari 7.0.6 and I update every single day lately too.

Hello Kinnen,

Please try to log out, clear the browser's cache, reload it, then log back in and let us know if this still happens.

Also, please make sure that you're entering Todoist directly through https://todoist.com and not a bookmark pointing to any other URL.
