Hi Gideon,

Multi-line formatting is not yet supported. We're hoping to add this to a future update. Please vote for it here: http://todoist.com/Vote/show/8519/.

Hi Clyde,

I am not talking about tasks but rather comments. Within comments you CAN certainly use paragraphs as I have been doing for some time.

When it comes to formatting, there seems to be a bug when you bold the first line in that when you do, the multi-line formatting (as you put it) fails.

Kind regards,

Gideon

Hi Gideon,

Yes, I was referring to notes/comments as well and not tasks. Here's an example of a comment/note:

!! Check why the...
Make a request to...
Make a request to... !!

A user reported that this syntax doesn't work (and it doesn't as that has not been implemented yet). Can you give me the exact syntax that you are using so I can bring it up with our developers if needed?

Best Regards,

Clyde

Hi Clyde,

Yes, in notes the following works

Check why the...

!! Make a request to... !!
Make a request to...

But if the first line is bold:

!! Check why the...!!
Make a request to...
Make a request to...

it does not.

Kind regards,

Gideon

Hi Gideon,

Where are you experiencing the problem? I've tried adding it in Chrome and the Mac app and I can't replicate the issue. (Please see attached) What browser are you using? Is it on the latest version?

Hi Clyde,

I'm using chrome, through the web app, on the latest version.

Please see attached. (Top comment is with issue, bottom is without)

Kind regards,

Gideon

Hi Gideon,

One last thing, can you please post the exact syntax that you used for your two notes as that might come up if I report this?

Please also try this:

Go to Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data, search for "todoist" there (there's a search box in the top-right) and delete all Todoist-based entries that you'll see.

As we are both trying it in the latest version of chrome, I just want to make sure that this has nothing to do with a caching issue. Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Clyde

Hi Clyde,

The exact syntax of the comment where the paragraph isn't working is:

!! Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit !!

!! Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit !! Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit

!! Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit !! Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit

!! Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit !! Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit

I tried deleting the cookies and clearing the cache but this has not resolved the issue.

Kind regards,

Gideon

Hi Gideon,

With that specific example, I was able to replicate the issue. I have now reported this to our developer. We'll update you as soon as we have fix for it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
