Desktop app on Terminal Server

JC

Hello,

I have just installed the Windows desktop app onto both of terminal servers (Microsoft Server 2008 R2)

When I log in as an ordinary user and try to launch the program it just crashes. Do you have any advise on how to get this working?

James

Hi James,

Are you using the latest version of our application? If not, please download it here: https://todoist.com/windows.

Also, please try to get .NET Framework and the Visual Studio Tools from these locations to see if re-installing them helps:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40790

Does the installation goes through successfully? No error prompts?

When it crashes, how exactly does it happen? Just closes the app automatically?

Regards,

Clyde

Hi Clyde.

Yes this is the latest version, re installed both .NET and Visual Studio Tools on Sunday and its making no difference.

I installed it using the local administrator and the program works using that login.

It closes automatically and tries to send information off to find a solution

Hi James,

When logged-in in a non-admin account, try running the Todoist app using "Run as Administrator". Try launching it normally again and see if it still works.

Hi Clyde,

Just tried that, i type in the admin username and password and then it does nothing? Try loading it as normal afterwards and it crashes again.
