Sync issue between web app and MacOS / iOS

Hi,

I've noticed a mistake when i use the web app. I actually use it only to upload file from my mac, because the macOS app doesn't work to upload a fil.

Anyway, everytime i use the web app, there are 2 or 3 overdue tasks that stay.

I'm certain i've completed the tasks before with either the macOS app or iOS. They are not showing in those apps anyway.

Please find attached 2 print screen (one with webapp and the other with macOS app).

Feel free to ask if you need any other information.

Best regards.

Cyril

Hi Cyril,

If you don't see it in your Mac or iOS, this might be a caching issue in the browser. Try clearing the cache and see if that helps.

Clyde

Cyril,

To be clear, assuming you are using Safari, you go to the menu bar, Safari --> Reset Safari? You have had quite a few sync issues relating to the Mac and we have had no luck in reproducing them.

Have you experienced any of these issues outside of your system, on another Mac, or another PC of any kind, unrelated to yours?

Regards,
Brendon.

I'm not using Safari, I'm using Chrome for MacOS.

I've had a LOT of issues lately. I can't try on a PC because i just don't use PC, i'm kind of allergic to them to be honest.

I've just tried on the Todoist for Gmail. Please see attached the print screen, it's even worst ! For your information, none of those tasks are overdue. They are all completed. I wonder why those ones and no others as i've completed a lot of others since !

Clearing the cache is actually not sorting this problem. To be honest, even if it would, that would still be half a solution. It takes several minutes to clear...

At the moment, i'm vey happy using todoist. It syncs perfectly between iPad, iPhone and iMac. You are on a lot of other platforms but i'm naturally not tempted to use them too much as there's always an issue...so that's a shame.

Gmail feature, Chrome plugin, webapp are good, but for me, it's not syncing well...

Cyril,

It shouldn't take that long to clear the cache and offline data for Chrome if you are just clearing it for Todoist. You can do this by going to the Settings page, Show Advanced Settings, Content Settings, All Cookies & Site Data, Search for Todoist. Remove all instances of Todoist. Before doing this, I'd log out of anywhere you are using Todoist. If everywhere is logged out, and then cache/data is removed it could prove to be more helpful then just clearing cache, or just logging out of one or two locations.

Now that being said, you said iPad, iPhone and iMac are ok, when you say iMac, are you referring to the desktop app (as this currently uses Safari engine) or are you referring to Chrome?

Regards,
Brendon.

When i say iMac i mean macOS app.

Hi,
I still have the same issue, really annoying.
I, once again, emptied the cache but it doesn't work.

Please find attached print screen.

Hi Cyril,

What URL do you use to access Todoist in the web? There was an issue where one sub-domain was showing incorrect due dates. If you're not using "http://todoist.com", please try it and see if you still get the the problem.

Also, in the web and Mac app, can you try logging out and back in again just to check if it will make a difference?

Regards,

Clyde

I'm using "http://todoist.com"

i logged out on both mac and web app, and log in again. It now seems to be synced.
This problem happens all the time and doing this is a little bit annoying. I hope it won't happen again.

Thank you.
