Upgraded, then notes not accessible in browser… and projects!

G

Hi: Upgraded yesterday (since my premium was set to run out on the 15th) and upgraded successfully—so I thought. It all works fine on my iPhone; nothing works in the browser (Safari and Chrome). Tried logging out, emptying cache in Safari---and now no projects!

Help!

Hello Glee,

According to our database, the account you're logged into now is Premium. Please try to use Chrome's Incognito Windows (Ctrl+Shift+N) log in there using the same credentials you use now and same login method.

Best regards,
David

Hi David: Thanks for your email. Actually, I am a Safari user primarily. What would you recommend for Safari?

Glee,

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I wasn't suggesting that you should start using Chrome, but trying to access your account through Chrome's Incognito Window would be very helpful to identify the source of this issue. If this works, then it's a caching issue, if it doesn't it's most likely a login issue (login method or credentials).

Best regards,
David

Ah, but spoke too soon. Notes still aren't showing up!

Glee,

Please try to log out of Todoist first and also from the Mac app, if you have it, then clear all Safari's cache and offline data, reload Safari and log back into Todoist.

Best regards,
David

Hi: Thanks, just tried that. Still my notes don't show up (or more accurately, as it has been this way for the whole time) not all of my notes show up.
And it is also true in Chrome.

Glee,

Please tell me, can you hover over a task in Safari to see the note icon, add a new note, then log out and back in and let me know if you'll still see this one new note or will it disappear after you log in?

The second test you could try is to open Todoist in Safari, keep it opened, then access the iOS app and add a note through it. Normally, about 2-3 seconds after, you should see a "pending" animation in the top-right corner showing you that the web syncs and the note should appear.

Best regards,
David

Okay, so with the first one both to the item I noticed was 'wrong and to a new item. What I have noticed is that the 'wrong' item doesn't retain/display the notes in the browser, but does in the iOS version.

Re the browser situation: One of the 'wrong' item's notes was a link to the NYT. Do you think that would have any influence on it? The other note to that 'wrong' item that doesn't show up is an uploaded file.

Hah. Most definitely the link embedded in the note. Deleted that, and everything is honky-dory. Add that to the bug-fix list.

Thanks!
