Copy tasks from one project to another


I would love to be able to copy tasks from one item to another. For example: I have my tasks sorted mostly by projects. Which works GREAT! But then I also have my weekly update with my boss as a project. Each week I start a new task for that update and create sub tasks for each thing I wish to discuss with him. I do not need to discuss my entire list with him, only select items. So I end up creating tasks to associate with that weekly meeting that are the same as tasks on my list (but they don't have a due date as I just mark the meeting complete and they all go away after the meeting). I would love to be able to just have an option for copying a task from one project to another. Is there a way to do that?

Hello Ronna,

Although you can't copy a single task between projects, you can prepare a task list in a project, then click on the tools icon (wrench and pencil) at the top (when in this project) and use "Export as template". You'll get a TXT file containing the tasks from this project.

Now, you can go to another project and use "Import from template" to add all tasks from this TXT file at once.
