How do I download Todoist to my PC

I have the todoist app on my iphone, but when I tried to install it on my PC it does not sync and my task are not updated. How can I do that?

Hi Liberte,

So you have downloaded and ran the installer for Outlook or the Windows version? (todoist.com/outlook) (todoist.com/windows).

You signed into the same account as you are logged into on the iPhone version? The issue occurs when you add tasks on iOS, or when you add tasks on Windows? Does it work one of the ways, or neither direction works?

Dear Brendon,

I have downloaded the (todoist.com/outlook<http://todoist.com/outlook>) version if I remember well.

The issue is only with my PC, it works fine on my iphone app.

Where can I double check my log in and change it on my pc.

Here what the setting/account shows, and this is my correct work email address.

I do not understand why it does not sinchronise with the app on my iphone.

Hi Liberte,

To check which account your using, you can click on the gear icon on the upper right corner. Select "Todoist Setting" and then click in the "Account" tab. You should be able to see which email address you are currently logged in to. Please make sure this is the same email address you're using in your iPhone.

Dear Clyde, would that be possible to talk to some one, I am going round and round and not managing to get to link my outlook and todoist. Same with my phone.

Hi Liberte,

When you say talk to someone, do you mean over the phone? Unfortunately, we don't offer phone support at the moment so we will to resolve this either through our forum or email for now.

In order to figure out where the issue is, I need to clarify a couple of things:

1.) tasks that are added in the Outlook plug-in don't show up in the iPhone, correct?
2.) how long do you wait before you check your phone to see if the changes were synchronised?
3.) if you add a task in you iPhone, do you see it in the Outlook plug-in?
4.) if you log-in using a browser, which changes do you see reflected in it? The tasks added through the Outlook plug-in or tasks added through your iPhone

Thank you, not very convenient. I am afraid I am loosing my patience with your system which is costing me more time than helping.


1. ON my PC, the todoist is not sync with my app on my phone. It does seem to recognise that I am premium.

How do I fix that. From my setting the email address look the same Lnuti@christies.com



2. Neither on the todoist on my computer or on my app can I see the gear wheal next to a project in order to create an address. The only wheel I have is the setting one which sends me to your internet platform and your short movies.
To answer your questions:

Yes and vice versa

I have sync and nothing happens

3.) if you add a task in you iPhone, do you see it in the Outlook plug-in?
no

4.) if you log-in using a browser, which changes do you see reflected in it?
Not sure I understand that one

The fact that it's not showing Premium is a red flag. How did you figure that it's not premium? Do you still see the red upgrade bar at the bottom of the screen?

Please try logging out and logging back again and see if recognizes that you're a premium user. I also suggest to try logging out of the iPhone app and try using the same username and password.

If you visit https://todoist.com/Users/showLogin, you should be able to log-in using your credentials. Try checking which tasks are show in there. Also, make sure that it reflects that you are a premium user.

Thanks Clyde, i will try later on and let you know. It does not recognise me as premium as when I put a note it says I am not a premium.
