Bug in Filtering

M

I just modified my filters on the webinterface and recognized a problem when switching between the filters.

The default filter for me is the following:

priority 1 | overdue | today

When the web interface loads, all tasks are shown correctly. Then I switch to the next filter with:

(heute | überfällig | kein datum) & @laptop (today | overdue | no date) in english.

And again, alls tasks are shown correctly. But as soon as I switch back to my default filter (see above), I see a lot of tasks, maybe all of my tasks, which don't belong there.

Hope you can reproduce that.

Hello Mirco,

Please clarify, the exact content of your filter is:

p1 | überfällig | heute

which is set as your default start page, you then access a saved filter:

(heute | überfällig | kein datum) & @laptop

and then what do you do exactly? Do you access the first filter from the filter list, do you use the browser's "back" button, do you reload the page? How exactly do you go back? And when you go back, what URL do you see in your browser?

Also, are you accessing Todoist through a bookmark pointing to any other URL than https://todoist.com ?

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

I access Todoist via url (https://todoist.com/) and get referred to

https://todoist.com/app?lang=de&v=211#agenda/priority__1__|__overdue__|__today

Then I choose the second filter via the filter list. Url is now:

https://todoist.com/app?lang=de&v=211#agenda/(heute__|__überfällig__|__kein__datum)__&__@laptop

Then I choose the first filter via the filter menu, url is

https://todoist.com/app?lang=de&v=211#agenda/priority__1__|__overdue__|__today

and the tasks are mixed-up.

Only after pressing F5 resulting in a full refresh I get the correct tasks.

I am using a Chrome Beta (Version 35.0.1916.69 beta-m) but since I have the same issue in the windows tool, I doubt that's the problem.

FYI: In the android app switching between those filters works!

Mirco,

The Windows app also uses Chrome's engine and in general, we strongly advise to use the latest final (non-beta) release of any browser since we've received multiple reports with any beta release about issues which then no longer occur when this version becomes final.

However, in this particular issue, I can reproduce it everywhere and indeed going back to the previous filter shows me a lot more tasks without a due date. I've passed it to our developers now and we'll look into it. Thank you for your report.

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

I'm using Chrome beta for developing and testing purposes, but I get your point. For this reason I cross-checked it on (or in?) the windows tool.

Thanks!
