I have my phone linked to my Todoist account, I receive push notifications when I try the test link, but have never received one for any reminders I have set.Any ideas?
Hello Steve,Please let us know what's the exact due date and time of the task and type and delay and/or due date and time of the reminder.Best regards,David
Hi David,an example task is due today with a reminder set for 6.45am today, 6.45 came and went without a notification. It makes no difference whether the reminder is set implicitly by giving a due date with a time, or by setting a separate reminder.Steve.
Steve,To reproduce this issue, I'll need the exact due date as you've typed it into the app. You've mentioned that the reminder is set to "6.45am today" - that's not a supported date format. Did you type it in exactly as you've said? The correct formats are:today at 6:45amtod @ 6:45amtoday @ 6:45 amtod at 6:45amPlease confirm if you've used any of them and if not - what other format did you use? Also, does using : instead of . to separate the time make any difference? And do you allow the Todoist app to send notifications?Best regards,David
David, sussed it! When testing it out I wasn't allowing for the reminder defaulting to 30 minutes before the deadline and the reminder was being cancelled. Is it possible to change the default for the notification period? Thanks for your help.Steve.
Steve,There is no way to change the default at this time, though we will consider allowing this in the future. So to be clear, you said you were not allowing for the reminder, if you enter the dates mentioned above, it should add the 30 minutes before reminder.Regards,Brendon.
Brendon,I was setting a test task with a deadline 2-3 minutes into the future, the default reminder was 30 minutes before the deadline (already past, therefore cancelled). I didn't adjust the reminder to 0 minutes before deadline and consequently got no reminder at the deadline.Steve.
