Problems opening App on Windows 8.1

OM

Although the app works fine on Windows 7 and my Android device it continually fails to open on Windows 8.1. Please help as a I need the app for my 8.1 Windows notebook on the move. Even when I open the Todoist page on my browser it appears in a format which does not fill he screen and cannot be read or scrolled to. Without the 8.1 use I will have to discard the app and my membership.

Hello Owen,

Please click on the arrow icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen, next to the system clock to see all hidden icons from the system tray. One of them will most likely be a red TD icon. If you see it there, it means that the app is already running and can't be launched twice. To show it, double-click on this icon or use Ctrl+Alt+T.

If you don't want it to hide to tray upon closing, but rather completely quit, right-click on the tray icon and go to "Configurations" where you can change it, but this will also disable the keyboard shortcuts.

Best regards,
David

Thanks David - that seems to have done the trick. I must say it’s not easy to spot on this version of Windows. I lost coun t of the number of times I downloaded the App, eventually getting all sorts of error messages and warnings prompting me to run virus checks and cleaners. The program wasn’t listed when I tried to run the uninstaller in control panel but it was there in my c: program files x86 which I had to delete manually

Incidentally, do you know if it is still possible to run Todoist without an Internet connection as it’s not always dependable on the move?

Owen,

You can use Todoist for Windows offline. Even if you don't have a connection at the time you launch it, it will still read and write to the cached data and sync later whenever it gets a connection.

Best regards,
