mac app doesn't notify when someone adds a comment

I wish it sent a notification, or had something to change the bell icon to a 1, without needing to manually hit refresh. It makes conversations about a task take a long time.

Hi Sam,

Are you referring to desktop notifications? We will consider adding this in future updates. Are you saying that the bell icon only updates when you hit the sync/refresh button?

Brendon.

Hi Brendon,
Yep that's what I'm saying. It makes conversations really hard to have because there's no notification. You have to just hit the circle over and over until you see that a chat has been updated.
While I have your attention, one thing that's really frustrating about the iphone and ipad is when there are numerous conversations happening, when you open the notification window, you don't really know the topic to which people are referring. It would be nice if it said a short "About.... task"... on those devices.

Hi Sam,

We will consider adding some desktop options in the future. If you head to your settings page, under Notifications, you can turn it on for Email, so comments that are made will show up in email as well.

Brendon.

Ok thats a good idea. I think if it were simply connected to Growlr, which does notifications on the mac for most programs, you'd be covered.

And did you see my comment about the layout of the notifications in iphone?

Sam,

Yes, sorry. We will look into improving the notifications for sure :)

Thanks,
Brendon.
