Import Project Template

CK

I am trying to import a Project Template from a text file, I created the project and exported the template which exports all of the tasks - there are 108 tasks that are exported.

BUT when i then import that template onto todoist to create a new project it only brings over 83 of the tasks - I've done this a few times and each time it only imports 83.

Any idea what's happening?

Many Thanks
Catriona

Hello Catriona,

Please tell me - do you notice anything special about the tasks that are not being imported? How are they listed in the TXT file? What properties do they have (name, priority, date, notes)?

Also, are you importing them into a new project that doesn't have any other tasks in it?

Best regards,
David

No it stops at the 83rd task for some reason, the missing tasks are in the same format as all the others in the text file.

They have name, notes and label as all the others.

Yes, creating a new project and then importing the tasks.

Thanks

Catriona,

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this issue. I've prepared 2 TXT files - one with 90 tasks, one with 105 tasks, imported each into an empty project and in both cases all tasks got correctly imported.

If the TXT file you have doesn't contain any sensitive information or if you can prepare one that also causes an issue, please send it to david@doist.io and brendon@doist.io (incl. the URL to this thread for reference) and we'll look into it.

Best regards,
David
