Do you have Preview Pane enabled for Gmail Labs? As this would cause our extension not to work correctly. Also, check to make sure Firefox is accepting all third party cookies.
I just reset the Firefox options to accept cookies and the plugin still
doesn't display at the lower right part of the screen or at the top when an
email is open.
Not sure if I have the preview pane enabled, but if it looks like the one
in Outlook, I don't think I do.
So to be clear, you installed this extension (http://tinyurl.com/p92245d), Preview Pane is not enabled in Gmail Labs, and Cookies are Accepted?
To confirm, head to Gmail, click on the settings icon at the top right, then the Labs tab, and see if its enabled or not.
Also, you open an email, and the icon is not there at the top where the rest of the menu is shown?
Cookies are enabled in Firefox. The url you just sent looks to be a Chrome
addon. I've tried to add the Firefox one several times. It tells me it
downloaded successfully, but I do not see the icon at the top with the
others or the little box down below.
I checked the Labs feature and Preview Pane is disabled.
We have two separate extensions - one that installs in your Firefox and will be accessible from everywhere through an icon in the toolbar and one that's just for Gmail.
The first one will not add anything to Gmail and the second one will not add any icons to the toolbar. Please clarify which one are you referring to? One can be downloaded from todoist.com/firefox and the other from todoist.com/gmail.
If it's the first, right-click on the toolbar, go to "Customize..." and if you'll find a TD icon on this list, drag & drop it onto the toolbar. If it's the second then it can only be affected by what Brendon mentioned - cookies, Preview Pane or any other ad- or script-blocking plugins.
Thanks. I did see that there were two plugins. I do have both installed,
and do have the icon on the toolbar. Regarding the gmail plugin, I have
AdBlock Plus enabled, could that be causing the problem?
You could try to completely disable AdBlock and if it helps, then you can whitelist Todoist.
I add to this thread because I'm interested. I like a lot the preview pane in gmail, so I can have the same look and functionality of outlook, Then, couldn't you fix this lack of compatibility, so I can have my preview pane set on and my great todoist for gmail extension working as it must be?
This has been partially "fixed". That is - you can add emails as tasks while using the Preview Pane, but whenever you open an email from such link, it will reload Gmail and open the message with no Preview Pane.
oh, thank you, I think it's well enough for me
It doesn't work at all. When I click on the link it opens just a blank page of gmail. And when I click such link on td website, it doesn0t work neither
It worked for me now as I've just tested it. Please try to log out and back into Todoist and clear its offline data from your browser. Also, what browser are you using? I've tested it in Chrome today.
Firefox, Ubuntu LTS 14.10
Indeed, it seems that it doesn't work on Firefox :-( I will pass it to our developers and we'll look into it.
Thank you for helping. I'll be waiting for their magic hands
I concur : I have the same issue => The Firefox plugin does not work , on Linux (Debian)!
Can't see any icon ...
Please try to right-click on the toolbar, select "Customize" and see if the TD icon is listed there. If it is, drag & drop it onto the toolbar of your browser.
At least, the icon has appeared !!! :))
all work fine now!
Sorry for the noise ...
The Firefox Toolbar plugin is working fine .. But Ive also installed Plugin for Gmail, that seems to be not working in Firefox.. Image attached.. But the pluging works fine in Gmail if opened in chrome.
Due to Google's recent security changes, we had to cut support for our Firefox gmail plugin. You should be able to add Gmail links using the Firefox toolbar though.
We're very sorry for the inconvenience.
Do you have any plans to get the plugin back into Gmail, when using Firefox. Having the todoist task bar appear inside gmail is much more convenient than the sidebar.
Also, being able to make the sidebar very narrow or very wide in firefox would be more useful. Currently, the adjustability of the width is minimal.
We do hope that something changes to allow it to work again, we will also do what we can to get this changed. Though as we have learned in the past we don't have much control over this.
Following as I am having the same issue in Gmal but only in Firefox. Works ok in Chrome.
Thanks for the response Brendon!
