I have added the gmail plugin for firefox but the icon doesn't show up in gmail and doesn't look like it is present.

Hi Greg,

Do you have Preview Pane enabled for Gmail Labs? As this would cause our extension not to work correctly. Also, check to make sure Firefox is accepting all third party cookies.

Hello Brandon,

I just reset the Firefox options to accept cookies and the plugin still
doesn't display at the lower right part of the screen or at the top when an
email is open.

Not sure if I have the preview pane enabled, but if it looks like the one
in Outlook, I don't think I do.

What next?

Hi Greg,

So to be clear, you installed this extension (http://tinyurl.com/p92245d), Preview Pane is not enabled in Gmail Labs, and Cookies are Accepted?

To confirm, head to Gmail, click on the settings icon at the top right, then the Labs tab, and see if its enabled or not.

Also, you open an email, and the icon is not there at the top where the rest of the menu is shown?

Hello Brandon,

Cookies are enabled in Firefox. The url you just sent looks to be a Chrome
addon. I've tried to add the Firefox one several times. It tells me it
downloaded successfully, but I do not see the icon at the top with the
others or the little box down below.

I checked the Labs feature and Preview Pane is disabled.

Hello Greg,

We have two separate extensions - one that installs in your Firefox and will be accessible from everywhere through an icon in the toolbar and one that's just for Gmail.

The first one will not add anything to Gmail and the second one will not add any icons to the toolbar. Please clarify which one are you referring to? One can be downloaded from todoist.com/firefox and the other from todoist.com/gmail.

If it's the first, right-click on the toolbar, go to "Customize..." and if you'll find a TD icon on this list, drag & drop it onto the toolbar. If it's the second then it can only be affected by what Brendon mentioned - cookies, Preview Pane or any other ad- or script-blocking plugins.

Hello David,

Thanks. I did see that there were two plugins. I do have both installed,
and do have the icon on the toolbar. Regarding the gmail plugin, I have
AdBlock Plus enabled, could that be causing the problem?

Greg,

Yes, any plugin that's designed to block interactive scripts on websites can successfully block our plugin since it's basically a JavaScript-based app within Gmail.

You could try to completely disable AdBlock and if it helps, then you can whitelist Todoist.
