Label section does not reflect correct tasks which are labelled

CZ

I have several tasks are labelled "A" label, but in Label section, no task is shown under "A" label. This happens to my several labels. And for some labels, it does shown the tasks but it does not show all the tasks under that label. There must be something wrong.

Hi Canphor,

Sadly, I can't the replicate the issue.

- Can you please tell me if you notice anything common among those labels?
- What browser are you using?
- If you add another task with the label "A", does it still not recognize it?
- Have you tried logging out and back in? Do you still see the problem?

Please provide the information above so we can determine the cause of the problem.

Thanks,

Clyde

Hi Clyde,
Thanks for the quick response! Please see my answers.

- Can you please tell me if you notice anything common among those labels?
A: No, there's nothing in common. I can give some examples, e.g. "PDI", "PQM", "AMC-Q"...

- What browser are you using?
A: I've tried Firefox v28.0 and IE v11.0, same phenomenon. And your standalone Windows version (I know it is just a browser client), same.

- If you add another task with the label "A", does it still not recognize it?
A: Yes, I added several test tasks, the labels work fine.

- Have you tried logging out and back in? Do you still see the problem?
A: Tried logging out, still see the problem.

And some more observations,

- The Android version has the consistent behavior as the Web version
- The iOS version (on my iPad) reflects better with the actual than Android and Web version, but still not exactly correct

Thanks!

Canphor

Hello Canphor,

Please tell me - are any of your projects shared? And are any of the labeled tasks assigned to someone else? If so - that's why they don't show up. By default, it will only show you tasks that you're responsible for.

You can see all by querying:

:all: & @label

Best regards,
David

Hi David,
Thanks, then it makes sense. Yes, the ones do not show up are the ones I assigned to someone else.
But I am not clear about ":all: & @label" by querying. Could you please be more specific? Thanks!

Hi Canphor,

Using the query ":all: & @label" returns you all tasks (your tasks and tasks that are assigned to somebody else) with the label that you specified.

Clyde

Ok, thanks! Then is there anyway to make show-all-no-matter-assigned-to-whom as default other than using the filter query method?

Hi Canphor,

There's currently no way change this behaviour for now but feel free to add this in the votebox https://todoist.com/Vote/ as a suggestion.

Clyde
