Hi Brian,

Viewing completed tasks is unfortunately not possible right now in the iOS app. We are hoping to bring this in the future but I don't have an ETA on when that will be. For the meantime, you can view the completed tasks either on the Mac/PC desktop app or the web.

Regards,

Clyde

Hi Brian,

There are two alternative ways to look for completed tasks.

OPTION 1:
1. Click on the Karma/Productivity trend icon on the upper right corner
2. Select "View all completed"
3. This should show you all your completed tasks
4. Filter it by date (how weeks ago was it) and by project
5. Hopefully, it will be visible there

OPTION 2:
1. At the very top, you should be able to see the search bar ("Filter tasks")
2. Type a keyword (that is a word that is present on the tasks's description)
3. Press enter and this should return you all tasks that matches the keyword. Even completed ones.

Can you try those 2 options listed above? Let me know if you still can't find it.

Regards,

Clyde

Second options doesn't work for me. Only first one returns completed task with certain tag.

Hi Alexander,

Try clearing the cache of your browser and search for it again. Are these newly completed tasks?

Thank you, Clyde, but I use Windows destop app and browser cache is not my case, I hope. And, yes, I can't find newly completed task.

Hi Alexander,

You can actually delete the cache folder for the Windows app from this directory:

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Todoist\Windows\Cache (for Windows)

Please let me know if that doesn't help with the problem.

Clyde, it doesn't help. I delete all files from that cache folder. After that even authorization was missing :) And I notice one starnge thing. When I do simple search by word app show me option to search within completed tasks http://take.ms/YsZmg, but if i do search by tag that option isn't available http://take.ms/5Q045

Hi Alexander,

Can you please check if you get the same problem in the web? Also, the "Search completed tasks..." option only shows up if you search for a keyword. This doesn't work if you're filtering tasks using labels or due dates.

Clyde

Hello Clyde, thank for your help and for a great and useful app you are (co-)developing.

I am grateful that I found this thread and a way how to get to completed task. But I would as well very appreciate, if this was accessible easier, maybe somewhere from the left menu. Or maybe if completed tasks remained in Project folders and you could just choose if they are visible/hidden.

I'm gettin Premium today, your app is perfect. Simple to use, modern, cross-platform... I like to pay for this work. Hope it will be still the same good or even better in the future ;)

Kind regards from Prague.

Hi Václav,

Good to know that you like Todoist. :-)

There are actually multiple ways for you see your completed tasks. As you've read, you can search for a keyword and you'll be given to search for it in your completed task history.

The second way is to use the "View all completed report" when you click your Karma point. In this report, you have the option to filter it by date, project, and label.

Lastly, you can also use the "Show completed tasks" report in the lower right corner of each project.

Clyde

I hate that I can't look at completed tasks on the app, because I use the app pretty much exclusively. I don't think todoist is going to work out for me... :/ I really wanted it to.
