Prioritizing

J

I would like to prioritize my list - actually put it in a different order on the page. The priority 1 - 4 is not doing it for me. It changes the color in the margin but leaves it where it is in the list.

I want to be able to move the items into the order I want them so I can list things 1st 2nd 3rd etc even within the priority 1 level.

Does ToDoist allow for this - if so how do I do it - if not will that feature be a future upgrade?

Hello Jack,

Please clarify - are you referring to a project view or a date-based view?

Within a project, you can drag & drop any task anywhere anytime and it will stay there, but you can't reorder them at once automatically.

On a date-based view (today, 7 days etc.) all tasks are sorted automatically:
- by due time
- by priority
- by custom order

So if these tasks don't have a due time, they should be sorted from p1 to p2 automatically. You can't reorder them by mixing priorities on this list, but you can change the order of tasks with the same priority within its priority group.

Best regards,
David
