On desktop attached pdf is not available at my I-phone

Did you change something with the upload? On my desktop I have now only the possibiltiy to attache a file with drag and drop (in the past I find a symbol for the upload) - and the uploaded pdf-files are not available at my I-phone.I have some older tasks with pdf-files attached and this work very well.

Hi Ulrich,

Yes, dragging files directly instead of selecting them is a change that was added. Can you please let me know if it makes a difference if you upload the PDF the old way or do it by drag-and-dropping it?

Also, the old tasks that you were referring to, can you still view the uploaded PDF file from it?

One last thing, can you please confirm is you're using an Android phone or an iPhone? I just tested viewing a PDF file on my Nexus 7 Tablet and I can view the PDF files fine.

Can you please provide me the following information?

1. What happens when you click the PDF attachment in the iOS app?
2. Are you running the latest version of the iOS app (version 8.1.1)? If not, please update and let me know if the issue still persist.

2. I use 7.1 - but get no offer from apple to upgrade... (says I have
the actuall version)

Hi Ulrich,

1. I believe 7.1 is the iOS version. ;-) Can you please check again the version of the iOS app? Please note that we're currently on version 8.1.1. We need this info to narrow down what could be causing the issue.

2. Can you please provide me a PDF where you've uploaded it in desktop and it's not working in the iOS app? Please make sure that it doesn't contain any private information. You can share a link here or just send me an attachment in my email clyde@doist.io

Hi Clyde,

no I find a way, how the upload works. If I do it directly
www.todoist.com I get the attached (old) window and this works.
But It would be great, if I could do it with the add ons for postbox and
google.

Hi Clyde,

I was able to drag and drop a file from my computer to Todoist, but I only did so through the Browser. When I tried to do it through the browser extension, the extension pop-up disappeared whenever I clicked out of it.

Is there a way I can use the browser extension to drag and drop from my desktop?

Hello Jose,

Unfortunately not. This is beyond our control as it's a setting of the browser that doesn't allow uploading files through extensions. As soon as Google (assuming it's Chrome) changes that and allows extensions to support file uploads, it will work.
