Sync issues - Mac & Chrome

P

Todoist keeps going in to offline mode even though the internet is connected and no VPN is connected. I am at my wits end with these sync issues, I can't confidently edit my to-do list without worrying about whether it synced correctly.

Hi Pranay,

I am very sorry to hear this. As I have mentioned before, you and only one other user seems to be having connection related issues with Todoist, and Mac related apps. We have been looking into it, but without any luck.

If you can give me complete details about your system, maybe we can find something that could be causing this.

And to confirm, as I believe all has already been asked for you, you have logged out, clearing the cache for Safari (for MacApp) cleared the cache and offline data for Chrome, you have even removed the app (used AppCleaner) and re-installed it? You have tried going into incognito mode for Chrome?

- Version of OSX
- Version of MacApp, Chrome, etc List any other apps being used
- What exactly is going on when it goes to offline mode?
- What other apps do you run, anything that affects internet at all?
- Do you have any other system, other than Mac, does it have issues?

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,
I have given the same information multiple times, here goes again. Yes, I have cleared cache and data and removed apps multiple times.

Version of OSX: 10.9.2
- Version of MacApp, Chrome, etc List any other apps being used: 4.1.5
- What exactly is going on when it goes to offline mode?: Adding new tasks or editing current tasks.
- What other apps do you run, anything that affects internet at all? No vpn or other apps that could affect internet. No other internet connected app suffers any connectivity issues.
- Do you have any other system, other than Mac, does it have issues? This is my primary system and I don't use other systems on a daily basis. I use the android app as well.

I've experienced the same (or perhaps similar) sync issues.

Completed tasks on the iOS app still shows up in Chrome on my Macbook, and vice versa. Never had this issue until it started a few months ago. Very annoying.

Tian,

Is this with the Inbox only, or all tasks/projects?

Hi Brendon,

It's with all tasks and projects.

Tian,

Assuming you have updated to the latest version try signing out of the app and back in again and let me know if it continues.

Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

Tried that previously but didn't help.

Also I should clarify my previous comment, the issue has happened to random tasks in random project (not all tasks). Perhaps every 1 in 10 tasks I complete experiences this issue.

Tian,

I have not been able to reproduce this issue. I'd suggest removing the app, using an app such as AppCleaner to make sure its all gone and then re-install the app.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi there,

I am having the same problem. I am using todoist on android, windows and feed in my calendar, but almost always updating the tasks in web app. Many times, a task that have been erased or completed shows again... Why?

Hello Maria-Christina,

Please clarify - you see completed tasks pop up in teh Todoist app or in the calendar?

Best regards,
David
