Filter: overdue tasks, grouped by label

LH

I would like to create a filter that shows only overdue tasks, and then groups them by specific labels I designate in the filter (@computer, @errands, etc.)

I have tried a filter: (@computer & overdue), (@errands & overdue)
but this creates a list that is grouped by due date. I am looking for one grouped by the label.

I want a list that looks like the one generated when I filter for:
@computer, @home, @errands
(the heading shows the label, and all tasks under it showing that label) except I want this list to show ONLY overdue tasks.

It seems like each time I try to add a date qualifier to my filter, it groups the list by date instead of by label.

Is there a way to generate the filter I am looking for?

Hi Laura,

Unfortunately, there is no way to accomplish this. It will always sort it by the date when using overdue. You can of course search by the Label, but that is everything that has that label

Brendon.

Hello Brendon -

Thank you for your response. I've already added my vote in several of the voteboxes (since the requests seem to overlap), but will put it here as well just for clarity:

I would love to see better sorting options ACROSS THE WHOLE APP on all platforms.

I would love a "Sort" button to appear on each page (or as a drop down from the top bar...) and let me choose how to sort and group my tasks - no matter what view, label view or filter I am using.

So, for example, if I run a filter - I would like to be able to sort and group the results however I want, not always by the default. The way I want to view my tasks varies depending on any number of factors and being constrained to one way to view them is very restrictive.

I often want to sort or view tasks grouped by:
Date
Alphabetical
Label
Priority
Project

Todoist does a beautiful job with this by DATE but the features for the other options are non-existent. Please add sorting features!

Smiles,
Laura

I am actually really interested in this service, it seems very complete, but for me not being able to group by labels (contexts) / projects is a deal breaker.

It seems that I will stay with my current tool for now.

I will check again in a few months.
