Crashes when I click on tasks linked to gmail items

MK

Hi

On my iPad, When I click on tasks which were created from gmail items the app crashes. I was hoping ToDoist would take me to the email which was linked to the task, as it does on the Mac. Note that I am using the gmail mail app in the iPad. I am running the latest version of iOS - 7.1.

Thanks for your help

Hi Matthew,

Which version of iOS are you running? Also, are you updated to the latest app version? Version 8.1.1 is coming soon and should address crash related issues, I believe this may be related as well.

Are you 100% sure it's only tasks that are from emails? Not anything else that causes it to crash?

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon

I'm running IOS 7.1 and version 8.1 of the app. Yes, it only happens when I click on tasks which were added as an email. Otherwise the app runs fine.

Thanks

Matt

Matthew,

Verison 8.1.1 is coming very soon. Please let me know if this continues once you have updated to the latest version. I do not have an ETA, but it shouldn't be much longer.

Regards,
Brendon.

I have 8.1.1 on iPad and iPhone and i cant click on gmail tasks without the app crashing. Almost every task is related to a email and I pretty much cant use the because I cant get to any of my tasks due to the crash!!! thought you fixed this in this version?

Hello,

Please use the web-app, access one of the emails-tasks that cause the crash on iOS and then copy/paste the URL to this message here.

Feel free to post it as such links won't give access to the mail anyway (Google protects these links through authorization).

Best regards,
David

How do I post a link and protect it?

You don't have to protect it. Anyone who clicks on such link will be asked to log into the email account that contains this message. Since no one knows what email address and what password you use, no one will be able to read such message.

This is a very secure protection by Google. You can try it yourself by logging out of your Gmail account and then clicking on such link - it won't work unless you log into your Google account with the correct email/password combination.

Best regards,
David
