Recurring task disappears

KL

I have a recurring task that is due every second Saturday.
The task is there until due day (or possibly the day before), then it just disappears and the next due date is shown instead (that is, Saturday two weeks later).
This behavior is consistent, and happens on all platforms that I use (iOS, Gmail plugin and sometimes web).

I have another recurring task due every Sunday and Thursday, and for this task Todoist works fine.

Hi Ketil,

Just to clarify, you are not checking the task off for the recurring Saturday task and yet it is moved to a date that's 2 week later?

Clyde

That's right. I do not check the task off, it just disappears and reappears with a due date two weeks later.

Hi Ketil,

One more question. For the due date, do you have "every 2nd Sat" as an entry?

Clyde

Yes.
To be precise: "every second saturday starting 30 nov"

Hello Ketil,

Please note that "every second Saturday" will not set the task to every 2 weeks on Saturday, but only once per month - every second Saturday of each month.

That said, the starting date of "30 November" is invalid because 30 Nov is not the second Saturday of November. Please try to re-add the task with the date "every 2nd Sat starting 8 Nov" (as that will be the second Saturday of November 2014) and let us know on what day exactly will the task disappear and move to a different date and what date will it be.

Best regards,
David

So I've misunderstood the meaning of "every second saturday" :-)
Now I tried "every 1st and 3rd saturday starting 5 apr". The result is that the first due date is 19 Saturday.

Ketil,

Unfortunately "every 1st and 3rd saturday starting 5 apr" is not a supported date - you can't set two such deadlines at one. Please create 2 tasks - one due "every 1st saturday" and the other "every 3rd Saturday".

Also, please note that you don't have to use start dates at all if you want the task to begin on the first possible occurrence, only if you want it to start a few months in the future :-)

Best regards,
David

I changed it to "every 14 day starting 5 apr".
Hopefully that works
