Filters don't work correctly on Android app

P

Version 3.2.1(Android 4.4)

Filters based on labels show incorrect items(items with other labels only) in the Android app. The same filters work fine on Mac and web app.

Hi Pranay,

What is the exact filter (syntax) used that is not working on Android? Are you saying just @labelname is not working?

Brendon.

(od, 1 days) @labelname shows (od, 1 days) all labelnames

Hello Pranay,

Assuming that by "1 days" you want to see tasks due today, please try one of these options and let us know if it works:

(od, tod) & @labelname
(od, tod) | @labelname
(od & @labelname), (tod & @labelname)

Best regards,
David

Thanks David. The first option worked fine.

But if my original query works fine on Mac app & Web app, shouldn't it work the same on the Android app? Does the Android app have different rules for filters?

Pranay,

Technically, your query shouldn't work correctly as it's missing an operator between the brackets and the label - should it be overdue, today AND with this label or overdue, today OR tasks with this label? I think the search option assumed one of these and we'll look into implementing such assumptions on Android in the future, though it's never going to be accurate as someone else may think of OR instead of AND in this case.

Best regards,
David
