Reminders continue even though the task is complete

I continue to get reminders repetitively, even though the task is complete.

Hello Brad,

Please try to delete and reinstall the app and if this won't help, try to find the task which you're being notified about through the web, un-complete it, remove any reminders from it, and then delete this task.

This seems to happen almost all the time. Deleting and reinstalling the app is not a solution.

Of course it's not an actual solution, but if you could confirm if it affects this problem, it would greatly help us identify it as it would guarantee that this is a caching issue of the iOS app and not multiple different possibilities.

Note - if you were online lately and therefore synced your tasks, deleting and reinstalling the iOS app will not affect your data, you'll log into your account and it will all load from the server.

I did remove it from my iPhone and it resolved the issue. The reminder continues on my iPad.

This has happened to me on numerous tasks with reminders so far. It is getting to the point that I may need to stop using the reminders function on iOS, which is disappointing because the reminders is the best way to make up for other missing functionality in the app.

Does it stop when you also delete and reinstall the iPad app?

We're sorry for the inconvenience, we're looking into this and will contact Apple about it as we suspect the issue to be on their end - the reminders are sent through Apple's servers and it seems that sometimes this happens - the server continues to send a reminder though it shouldn't. We hope to have this resolved soon.

Yes. I didn't want to reinstall both at the same time so that we didn't lose the diagnostic info.

I had this same issue. Had to log out and back in to Todoist to fix it.
