Update

Hi there,

the recent Outlook Plugin update broke the ability to click on a task and an archived email. Before that, it would perfectly but ever since the update I can click the link but nothing opens anymore. I even tried creating new tasks with emails received since the update but even then nothing works.

Version plugin; app?v=204
Version Outlook; 14.0.6123.5001 32-bit

Thanks for looking into this.

Arvid

Arvid,

Which version of our Outlook Plugin are you running? Within the Control Panels' Add/Remove menu you can see the version.

Email links when moved were broken in the old version and this was resolved since two updates ago.

Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

it is 2.6.5.0. And I know that the newest update would fix the broken links. As mentioned it worked perfect until I had an update last week after which it all stopped working.

Regards,

Arvid

Hi David,

any idea? Just noticed that for a very old email it still works, but for new emails it doesn't work. This was the feature I moved everything over to Todoist.

On my end nothing changed besides that Todoist received an update.

Thanks,

Arvid

Almost one month further and no update. I'm sorry but this is ridicilous. The Outlook plugin worked prior to the recent update of the plugin, after that all stopped working. So maybe just give me the older version back so that at least I can use the product. Now it is completely disconnected from Outlook. The link between Outlook and Todoist was the primary reason why I went with this product and went pro.

Brendon... two months further and no update. I'm loosing important tasks as the Todoist task doesn't pull up any email. I even upgraded to Outlook 2013 now and still the same issue.

Ok. And how do I get the latest version? Just downloaded the file and that was still 2.6.5.0

Arvid,

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, I was referring to the issue with sending emails as tasks where they weren't converted into notes.

As for direct linking to tasks through the Outlook plugins, though we can't reproduce it, it's on our developers' to-do list, as soon as we have any news, we'll let you now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
David

I hope my initial issue was clear then? And as mentioned before, it did work until there was an update of ToDoist and it became buggy.

Arvid,

As David said, the issues with the Outlook plugin is not yet resolved, we are having too many issues with and are trying our best, though its not been easy to reproduce. We are hoping to make some progress soon.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi
I've noticed to add an email as task you have to have to Tododist Panel expanded. If it is minimized/collapse and you click on the Todoist Ribbon button it won't work.

Hey Brendon/David,

I noticed a new version for Todoist in Outlook popped up. Any ideas whether this specific issue was fixed?

Thanks!

Arvid

Hello Arvid,

We're not always aware what fixes these micro-updates contain. Any new features are announced on our social media channels, our blog and through a newsletter. All reported bug fixes are announced in the related threads containing the reports. Aside from that our devs constantly improve Todoist's performance and fix minor glitches, some of which require a reload of the content - that's when the "New version" alert pops up and clicking on it reloads the content :-)

Regards,
David
