Reorder tasks with time of day

Hi Team ToDoist,

I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to keep tasks with times of day from auto-sorting to the top of the day's list. I would like to be able to have my early morning appointments at the top of the list, followed by all my tasks for the day (which don't have times assigned) and then any of my evening appointments at the bottom of the list. Any chance that's a thing I can do, that I just haven't figured out?

Thanks!
Kelly O.

Hi Kelly,

Assuming you have tasks without dates, then no. The Today & Date based views are sorted by date/time then priority. So all dates with or without time are at the top. Though, to clarify, your date based tasks are sorted correctly right? As in, morning tasks, then afternoon then evening, just that they are on the top of your list right?

You could remove all dates and times and just use Prioirities, or use nothing at all, but of course that is not the same.

Regards,
Brendon.

Yeah they are sorting correctly, up at the top. No problems there. I suppose I could just put the time in as text into the name of the task, and then I'd be able to sort them all manually, though I'd lose my reminders, and my synced google calendar would get all wacky. Hmm. I'll give it some more thought.

Thanks!

Kelly,

Well you can add a reminder (right click, Reminders) without it having a due date. Yes, there wouldn't be anything to do about Google Calender at that point.

We will consider more options in the future.

Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

Cool that's good to know about the reminders. (I don't think I realized that.)

Thanks for your help,
