Notifications and reminders not being pushed to my android

SA

Dear Team,
Neither notification nor reminders are being pushed to my Android although:
1) I tested the notification by sending test notification feature when I first installed the application and it worked. However, now it is not working.
2) I tried to log On/Off from the web interface and reinstalled the Android Application and it is still not working.

can you please advise

Hello Saad,

Please let us know in what language you're using Todoist and how exactly are you setting up the reminder step-by-step, for example: you enter a project on Android, click on add task, set the task to "today at 2pm", add a relative reminder set to "1 hour before", you save the task, you then go to the reminder menu and see both of them listed there.

If you're doing anything in any way differently then as I described, please provide the exact steps how you're reproducing it.

Best regards,
David

Hi David,
it is really impressive how fast one can have an input from you guys, highly appreciated.
Please note that I am not using the mobile to add the task, I am adding it from the web.

well, what I am doing is the following:
--> from The web Interface I click on a project.
--> I add a task and write for example--" Call back David !!1
--> I press tab on my keyboard so as to write today at 2:30 PM.

on the other hand, just noticed that After I installed/re-installed the Android application the tasks are synced but on the notification page I have a message that says
You haven't registered any device with push notifications support

regards
Sa'ad

Sa'ad,

Thank you for this information. So if you try to edit one of these tasks through Android, do you see that the task you've added via web has a "30 minutes before" reminder in it?

Also, regarding the "devices with push notification support" message - did you log into the Android app, made any change to any task, synced it, then reloaded the Reminders settings page on the web and the device still is not on the list?

Best regards,
David

Hi Dave,
Please note that almost 95% of my interaction with Todoist is through the web. for the meantime I use the mobile application to view and do minor modifications to the task. What I am expecting is that when using the Web I add a task with a reminder and push mobile notification option, I expect my mobile to alert me accordingly.

BTW, I am still seeing the:
"You haven't registered any device with push notifications support"

Regards
Sa'ad

Sa'ad,

Today or tomorrow, we'll release an updated version of the Android app which should address this issue. Even though you're using the web, the current Android app has some sync issues that may affect reminders across all platforms (as it syncs in the background). The update will address that.

Best regards,
David

Hi,

Can you maybe do a test push notification? Does that work? As suggested in the previous thread, please try reinstalling the app to see if that helps.

Clyde

Hello,

Please try to set the notification to the English date "18 Dec @ 22:00" and let us know if this will work.

David
