Email slow

How long does it take for an emailed task to sync? besides postbox do you plan on integrating it with other email apps?

Hi Sam,

What do you mean by sync? You added a task by one of our Plugins, and are not seeing it show up on your mobile or other Todoist location? Or you have sent an email to a project to create a task, and it has not shown up?

We have Thunderbird, Postbox, Outlook For Windows and Gmail. We don't have any concrete plans right now, but we know Outlook for Mac & Mac Mail are highly requested.

Regards,
Brendon.

i was just stating that emailing into todoist was slow earlier today. however this evening it is alot faster. (the time it was taking to show up) i like the plug in with Postbox but finding the program itself ok. using airmail currently.

another question - in emailing the task in, i can get a reminder to set, but can't seem to get the due date. is there a correct way? nothing i've tried works, however the reminder gets set. thanks.

Sam,

That would be <date march 11> for example.

can you set a time with it? when i input <date 11 @ 530pm> it would show up as march 13 5:00 am.

Sam,

Does entering <date march 11 at 5:30pm> work?

Sam,

Thanks, I was just testing to see what would happen. Times are not supported through Email at this time, though I am not sure why one would be set at all when using that syntax.

Brendon.

something else to note - when i put the <date march 11> it shows up in the due date. however if i edit it to add the time, it jumps up 2 days and changes the time. ex:
if i edit it to march 11 @ 530pm, it will change to march 13 5:00 am. sometimes it does edit fine, but other times it doesn't. seems like you should be able to schedule something to a time, even if it is a task.

Sam,

I am very sorry. I was mistaken with what you were trying to accomplish. I was thinking of something else.

Dates and times are accepted. I believe you may be having issues with timezone since it just changed (daylight savings). Please check Todoist.com's settings, your desktop and any other place Todoist is used to make sure they are all on the same timezone.

Then using <date 11 @ 5:30pm> should work.

Brendon.
