Unable to click on gmail task

S

I use Todoist with my Gmail using firefox browser (I have not been able to get the plugin to work correctly with my Chrome browser.) I am unable to click on the task to open the original email in my gmail account. Please advise, this is an essential function for a task manager for me.

Thank you,

Laura Jones

Hi Laura,

What exactly happens? You created a task with the Gmail Plugin, then you click on this task, and nothing happens, it brings you to a log in page?

Brendon.

I seem to be having the same problem. When I add an email as a task through using my Chrome app plug in, it shows up fine in my project folder, but then when I click on the task to show the email, it comes up blank?

I've tried opening this up in Firefox as well, and it does the same thing. Earlier today it was asking me to sign in when I thought I was already logged in. It asked me to sign in using the wrong account, and when I clicked on the correct account, it sent me to a blank page.

Hi Carole,

How are you accessing Todoist and the added task? Through the web on Chrome, the Chrome extension, another browser, mobile?

Do you use more than one email address, are you signed into both? If you do does the issue still occur?

Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

All worked fine Thursday and Friday when I signed up for Todist. Friday's task emails work. Any email task assigned today, Monday, does not.

I am accessing Todoist and the added task through the gmail app extension that shows in my primary gmail account using Chrome as my browser. I have two separate gmail accounts, but only signed up Todist with one. I also have the Firefox extension app on my Firefox browser. The same issue happens in Firefox.

My primary gmail account has a main account name and an alias. I wonder if that is causing and issue?

I have not signed in to the second gmail account at all from Chrome, and I haven't signed into the second gmail account from Firefox in months. I don't use it.

Hi Brendon,

I may have solved a main issue. My gmail allows me to pull out a message and keep it separately on my desktop. When I do that and use the gmail Todist task add using Chrome, it doesn't work. If I keep the email in the no-split screen within the gmail email, the Todist task add works. I was able to add several new tasks tonight, and it worked.

It must be the no split screen issue I read about previously. I tried accessing those newly added email tasks using the Firefox extension and it also worked.

Carole,

You are referring to Preview Pane for Gmail? Then yes, that would have been my next question as our plugin does not support it.

Regards,
Brendon.

Brendon,

Thank you for your quick responses. The function of creating tasks from emails is very important to me. And yes, Preview Pane is what I meant. :-)

Laura,

To clarify, you are trying to open it within Firefox, are you using our Extension or the web version? Is this every single email?

Regards,
Brendon.
