Outlook Plugin - Load Behavior

BS

Each time I start Outlook, I need to load the "Outlook TodoistADX" COM Add-in.

How do I set the add-in load behavior from "Unloaed" to "Load at Startup"?

Enabling it in each session does not change its load behavior.

Thank You,

Hi Brent,

This should be done automatically. Do you have any software that can remove things from Windows Startup? This could cause it to not work.

Brendon.

Brendon -

Thank you - I do have such software.

To that end, what should I see for Todoist in terms of the Windows start up for Outlook 2013?

Nothing jumps out at me in the immediate or delayed start-up items for Windows that looks like it would be related to Todoist.

Brent,

OutlookTodoist is the application, should show in Add/Remove programs, this is the actual program installed which shows within Outlook. It has a service called Todoist.Helper. If that is blocked, then it may not open on Outlook startup.

Brendon.

Brendon,

Turns out that I could not find it, so I simply removed and re-installed and the sidebar works well.

While you are here, what might I be able to do to have API access?

Now that I am back to an Outlook platform, I'd like to write a few macros that complete several steps, including actions for Todoist.

Originally, I was using Outlook, I used Netcentrics' GTD add-in which incorporates several items into a single action (e.g., default project, date as well as moving the target email into a folder, etc.).

I appreciate that the first response is that the API is not available to the Common Man, but I presume there is an NDA or developer (which I am not) program that I can participate in which provides access.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello Brent,

Our API is free to use for all Premium Todoist account :-) All you need is your unique API token which you can get in the Settings -> Account.

You need it for every API call you make. A list of all calls, parameters and descriptions how they work can be found in this documentation: https://todoist.com/API/

Best regards,
David

Hi Support, I was wondering if you had found a fix for this issue. I also need to re-enable todoist each time I start Outlook in Outlook add-ins. I have other outlook plug-ins that stick each time outlook loads (eg Linkpoint) but for some reason Todoist is switched off upon exiting or restating Outlook.

Hello Brad,

Unfortunately, we're still working on this :-( As soon as we're sure what causes this and in what exact circumstances it can be reliably triggered, we'll release an updated version of our plugin.

Best regards,
David
