Minor bug: The "Don't change timezone" button doesn't close the popup window

SK

It's probably just a minor bug but I thought I'd report it. When the window to change the timezone pops up and I click on "Don't change" the window remains open instead of disappearing like I would expect...

Hello Seb,

Thank you for your report, we'll look into it. However, please note that it's not recommended to ever choose this option as if you make any changes to your task list while having the incorrect time zone set up, it will change the dates and times to your tasks and you will have to manually fix each task once you correct the time zone.

Best regards,
David

I don't really understand what you're saying. I was abroad for a few days and didn't want any settings to be changed. I had changed the Windows setting so I don't know what Todoist used as source for the time check, Windows or some geo check.

I would have been happy to just keep the time to UTC+1 for Todoist purposes while Win was temporarily on UTC+2.

I would have expected TD to stay on UTC+1, which is what I wanted the "Don't change" button to do.

Either way, it's not that big a deal but I wanted to report it anyways.

Seb,

Just to clarify - Todoist uses both the time zone setting on your device, checks if it matches the location you're in and sets its own time zone according to your choice.

In order to have all tasks stay with the same date and time regardless of where you are, you must change the time zone on your device and also agree for Todoist to change it in its settings. This way, if you've set a task in Europe to "today at 2pm" and then go to the US, if you adjust the settings as Todoist asks you to, the task will still be due "today at 2pm". If you don't - its time (and/or date) will change.

If you then add a task due "today at 2pm" while you're in the US and then come back to Europe, this task will then have a different time, the other tasks may get back their original time, but the ones you've edited may be broken.

Best regards,
David

Thanks for the explanation. I'll know what to do in future.

I've said it before but it stays true, Todoist is the best, including the support. I'm picky as sh!t but you guys truly rock!
