Why is ToDoist adding a due time to EVERY task I add today?

DC

As of this morning, each time I add or edit any task in ToDoist it sets a due time of 11:30 am. EVERY task gets this due time. I can't delete it, it comes back when I save the task.

How do I make this stop? This has never happened before.

Hello Debbie,

Please tell me - on what platforms are you using Todoist? If only on the web - through what browser?

Also, if you create a new project right now and try to add one new task with the date "today", does it also add this time to it?

Best regards,
David

Windows 7, Chrome (latest version).

If I add a new task and put the word 'today' as the date, it doesn't add a time. But if I put a date or choose a date from the calendar, it always adds a time (but not before today).

I did do that already - logged out, closed and reopened the browser,
logged back in, problem persists...

Debbie,

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce it.

Please tell me:
- What browser are you using?
- Can you reproduce it in another browser or in your browser's Private Mode or Incognito Window?

Best regards,
David

It seems to be happening only in Chrome - not happening in IE or FF.

It is happening in Chrome's incognito window too.

Debbie,

We aren't able to reproduce this, and it sounds very odd. We would normally ask you to clear the cache and offline data for Chrome to resolve the issue as you said it's only Chrome, but Incongnito mode should work if it was a cache issue.

What extensions do you have installed for Chrome?

Regards,
Brendon.

I am having this same problem, except it adds 11:59PM. In a similar development, there is one task that I had intentionally added a reminder and a specific due time. Now it's impossible to remove either, and it's being added to other random tasks. Sort of out of control.

I use Todoist on Mac, as a Chrome extension, and on iPhone/iPad. These issues have been happening on the Mac app.

Charles,

The 11.59PM issue is normally related to entering a wrong date, what is the exact syntax you used to create it? Usually, it's caused by people adding the time after the date, the time needs to come before the date such as "every 2 weeks at 2pm starting mar 10".

Regards,
Brendon.

That could be it, seems to be working now. Also just cleared cache and re-entered login info, so that could have done it as well. Thanks for the quick response, all seems well now.

It seems to have stopped on its own. Now I can choose a date again and it doesn't add the time to it.

No - I was wrong, if I choose any date from the calendar, it's still putting a time on it. Now it's 11:59 instead of 11:30. If I try to type in 'tomorrow' instead, it still keeps the time. Only if I create a task and type in the word instead of selecting from the calendar does it work as usual.

And if I then open the task to change it, I see this in the date window,
even if I typed in 'tomorrow:'

Mar 7 @ 11:59pm

Debbie,

We've fixed this issue a few hours ago, but you may need to log out and back into your account. If that won't help - log out, clear your browser's cache, reload the browser and then log back in.

David

It's not happening this morning - seems to be okay. I'll let you know if it recurs.
