Hi,

Please open up the Todoist app, in the top right corner (3 dots), Settings, Notifications. Make sure the switch at the top is turned ON, then click on Reminders in the list, and make sure that is turned ON.

Regards,
Brendon.

Small addition: Reminder, which is set in the program settings on the phone (in the settings, default reminder time) - this reminder works. Push reminder, that you can be set separately for each task - this is a reminder not working.

Hi,

In that case, what is the syntax used to create the reminder, what did you enter into the Reminder menu?

Brendon.

in the task choosing a "reminder" (this is the button which painted clock) and write, for example, 03 @22.00. I recall that on iPd reminders are working, but phone - no.

Hi,

So you typed "03@22.00"; into the Reminders area? That is not an accepted syntax. You'd need to type "mar 3 at 22:00" for example.

Brendon.

Come on ))))) ! Watch the video, there is just such an example))) Enter yourself "04 @11.00" and you see how the system will set a reminder "4 Mar @ 11:00" ))))
Not in this case, I wrote that reminders are sent to the iPad and on android phone - no.

Hi,

Sorry, I did indeed mis-read your previous post. Though there are some instances where syntax's can be accepted and not work.

To clarify,

- Works on iOS, not Android
- Is all your devices (todoist.com's settings as well) set to the same language?
- Are you using it in English and typing in the dates in English?
- What is your time format set too on Todoist.com? (settings page)
- If you create the reminder on the web version, still not working on Android?

Regards,
Brendon,

Ok, I understand you))
Time Format (24h) set the same everywhere, everywhere the same language - Russian. Both devices appear in the setting. I tried to unlink the iPad and leave only android device - does not help. No matter where I set a reminder - on the web or in the program on the android device - the same result. I think, there may be something to do with the fact, that I have an android phone with 2 sim? But then it would probably not work test push notifications .. But test notifications always work, no matter how much checking ((

Hello Георгий,

There's a difference between test notifications on Android and actual reminders. The reminders are not actual online push notifications, but local notifications.

In other words, the only process in our Android app that uses the push notification service is the syncing of data. If you make any changes to your task list, the data is sent via push notification to your phone. However, the reminder itself is generated by the app.

That said, to avoid misunderstandings, please perform this test - add a new task with the due date "каждый день в 18:00" (using a time that's at least 31 minutes into the future) and then tell us, after you add the task, do you see in the Android app that this task has an automatic "30 minutes before" reminder in it?

If so, check if you can also see the reminder in this task on the web. Then, after the "30 minutes before" time passes and you don't get this reminder, check again and see if it's still there or if it disappeared - both on Android and on the web.

Based on that we can identify this issue as in such cases, the exact syntax used can be crucial so please use the date formatted as I've mentioned "каждый день в 18:00".

Best regards,
David

I did two tasks with a daily reminder at 13.45 and 14.00. One task was created in the web, the second in the android phone. Both tasks are displayed in the web and in the android phone. reminders not worked on your android phone. reminders for both tasks not worked.

I created 3 cyclic tasks with different reminders: SMS reminders and push reminders. I'll wait today or tomorrow). By the way, can somehow affect what my phone with 2 sim?

Георгий,

2 SIM should not have any affect, but please tell me - after the time passed and you didn't get the reminders, do you still see the reminders being set in these tasks or did they disappear from the task and both tasks have now no reminders assigned to them?

Best regards,
David

Overall the problem is solved ^_^ I did a full wipe the device and all the notifications started working. Ie problem exclusively program character and linked to some program installed previously on my phone. Now I will find out what kind of program. If I find - I'll write here, maybe it will help other users. Sorry to bother you! (+1)
