iCal and tasks

i added a project with some tasks. i enabled the ical sync. however when i created the task with a due date, several appear. since i can't delete them in ical and there is only 1 task in todolist, what is causing some many to appear in calendar?

Hi Sam,

- What calender software are you using?
- What is the syntax you used for the task, what did you enter into the date field?

If you created a recurring task, such as "everyday at 2pm" then they will all show up into your calender, on the corresponding days.

Regards,
Brendon.

Hello M,

Please tell me, are you using Apple's iCalendar or Google's Calendar? In case of Google - they sync the feed only once a day. Any other calendar software should allow you to manually resync it anytime.

Best regards,
David

M,

Please check this site: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/30985/how-do-i-force-ical-to-sync based on the screenshot posted there, try to use the "Refresh" or "Refresh all" options from the Calendar menu.

Best regards,
David

M,

Just to clarify, you go to Todoist's Settings, get the iCal feed of your Todoist account, add this feed to your iCalendar to sync the data and then once you do that, the changes you make in Todoist are not reflected in the calendar when you refresh it?

Best regards,
David

Yes. and sorry not good my explain.... I use Mac

1. Go to "todoist setting"

2. Copy URL "https://~~"

3. Paste URL "https://~~"

4. Download "icalTodoist.ics"

5. Click "icalTodoist.ics"

6. In iCal, added new event "new calendar"

7. I can sync todoist.

8. In todoist, I add new task (for example) "testiest"

9. In iCal, command+R (Refresh)

M,

I have been able to reproduce this issue on the Mac Calender, refreshing the feed does not update with new information. I have passed this to the developers in hopes to find a solution.

Brendon.

i use ical and found a fix from a previous post - if you go in and right click on the subscription and check off ignore alerts. that seems to have worked on my end.

Hi,

The issue is when using the ICS files. Please try subscription to the URL instead. File -> New Calendar Subscription

Brendon.
