Import from template: How to add a reminder?

I created a text file to import tasks using the "Import from template" command. The template works great except for one thing: no reminder are set! I tried using the syntax "[[remind tomorrow at 2:00 pm]]" and "[[remind Feb 27 @ 2:00 pm]]", but no reminder was set.

What is the syntax to add a reminder to a task in a template for import?

Hello Yehoshua,

Unfortunately, reminders are not importable, they also don't export to a template. We'll consider changing that in the future, though.

Best regards,
David

Yehoshua,

To clarify - relative reminders and ones added through the reminder menu won't work. You can of course use the <remind tod at 2pm> syntax within a task's name and this will convert to a reminder when importing it, though it's a manual workaround.

Best regards,
David

David,

Putting in <angle brackets> was exactly the answer I was looking for and now my template works!

What other codes can I put <inside angle brackets> ?

Also, the <remind tod a 2 pm> code set my default reminder, which is mobile push. Is there a way to set an email reminder using the template without changing my default reminder method?

Yehoshua,

No, at this time there is no way to choose a different reminder without changing the default.

Brendon.

Yehoshua,

No, in terms of task names, there are no other options.

Brendon.
