"Add email as task" Not Working Correctly

SB

I am trying to use the "Add email as task" functionality but Todoist keeps adding the wrong e-mail. I used this function many times in the past and it worked correctly. So it may be related to the most recent update.

Having the same issue. It appears Outlook isn't connecting to the Internet Calendar

Hello,

Please tell me - does this happen with every email? If not, what's the difference between emails affected by it and the rest?

Kisha - are you referring to Steve's issue with adding emails as tasks or a different issue with our iCal feed and Outlook's Calendar?

Best regards,
David

As it turns out, it appears to be any e-mail associated with a certain thread. in other words I have tried different replies to the same e-mail and it doesn't work. However, other e-mail threads still work.

Steve,

So to confirm, it's only one email (from a certain email address), or just a certain thread of emails that you had?

Regards,
Brendon.

Hi,

The adding of wrong emails should be fixed now. You may need to log out and back in again.

Regards,
Brendon.

It's still doing the same thing...even on a completely different computer. But since it's only the one email thread, it's not that big of a deal.

I have the same issue. The "add email task" feature is broken. It is not working for most of the emails since the last few days for me. I just updated the app, emptied ie cache, logged again, nothing changed. It is definitely very annoying and make it useless for the time being. It seems to be related somehow to the length of the email (and number of thread 4 threads).

Hello Thibaut,

Is there any special code in the email that caused this to start happening? For example, was a link posted in it, did it had an attachment etc.?

Best regards,
David

I just installed the newest version via an e-mail I got today and it's still doing the same thing. Some e-mails work and some don't. And I have not been able to figure out what's causing it.

I try to perform some tests but there is no clear pattern (screenshots or not, attachment or not ...). I can only say that the issue is happening for long email/thread.

I am still experiencing same behavior. In fact I just got two e-mails from the same sender, very similar in details (i.e. both with pdf attachments and such) one works and one doesn't.

I am having this issue as well. I click on add to Todoist and nothing happens. I also tried the right click. Nothing. I tried uninstalling and resinstalling with no change.

Can you send a log file please? %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Todoist\Outlook. You can send this to brendon@doist.io & david@doist.io.

I'm having the same issue with outlook. I see where you say to add the updated version of the plugin, but do I remove the other one first and it so, how do I remove the old one?

Jennifer,

You can just install the new one over the old one if you'd like. Though, you remove the plugin from the Add/Remove location in the Control Panel.

Brendon.
