Desktop Drag & Drop Task scrolling to bottom

I am using the desktop app with the "overdue, 7days" view.

Starting today when I drag and drop a task forward the list scrolls to the bottom and doesn't allow me to scroll back up. This is making it difficult to drag tasks to even tomorrow because it jumps me too far down in the days. Of course I can go in and edit the task date, but the drag and drop capabilities are what made this so simple.

I tested this in the web app, and it worked just fine there. I was able to grab a task from today and move it tomorrow without the scroll jumping too far ahead.

I even thought my mouse might be causing this because the batteries were low, but after replacing them the app is still doing this. :-(

HELP! I love this app but I need to be able to move things around and the drag and drop functionality was the best way to do this before. :-) I'm all about less clicking!

Hi Sarah,

So this is only on the Mac app? There have been a few other reports, but we have yet been able to reproduce this issue. If you could explain in detail what you are doing when this occurs, so it's the 7 days view, you grab a task from Today, or the next day, where do you try to drag it, does it move to the bottom right away?

Fabulous questions.

It has happened when I grab a task from today (being Monday) and attempted to move it to Wednesday or Thursday. Pretty much if the list is longer than what is displaying on my screen it feels the need to pull me to the bottom of the list and doesn't allow me back up.

If I grabbed a task from the bottom it didn't allow me to scroll up to move it to a earlier date either. Yesterday, I tried that as a work around for trying to get the task to Wednesday.

The task stays with my mouse, but I'm forced to drop it only on what is displaying on the screen.

Please let me know if you'd like additional information.

The issue also exists on Chrome, which I would imagine shares WebKit rendering engine with MacOS wrapper.

I have the same problem when using Safari. But not when I switch over to Chrome. Hope that helps.

I have same problem. I try to drag/drop an existing task and the mac app fast scrolls to the bottom. Annoying

Another person with the same problem on the Mac desktop program. I have to rearrange all of my tasks using my phone.

Same problem. Chrome. Unfortunately this makes Todoist completely usable since my lists are long enough to require scrolling. I hope a fix comes SOON.

Hi guys
Is this solved any time soon? I can't use Todoist as it is now and I have a very busy work week. I am on the edge of switching to another system. Why does it takes so long time to fix such a critical bug?
