Downloading Attachments

OK

Hi, I'm a Premium user, and had upgraded recently, mainly because I needed the Notes/Attachments feature.

As of right now, I cannot download the Attachments. I click, double click - it doesn't do anything. I can see that the task is underlined, and has an Email icon next to it. (It was created using the Outlook Addon - Add email as task.

I'm on 64 bit Windows 7. I've tried downloading using the Windows App, the Outlook Addon, the Website... nothing is letting me open that email from the task.

And I had deleted the original email to prevent clutter in my inbox.
Need help ASAP.

Hello Omar,

Attachments are different from tasks added from an email.

If you open a task note, then you can upload an actual file from your computer to Todoist, it will give you a link to the file and you can open it anywhere.

Adding emails as task creates a local link to the message in Outlook. You can only access this message when using the Outlook plugin as long as it's physically there. If you've deleted the related message, the link to it won't work.

That said, if you want to see the content of an email, please use the option to send emails to Todoist. For more information about it, please right-click on a project and go to "Email tasks to this project".

Best regards,
David
