Outlook crashing with ToDoist plugin

MM

My Outlook 2010 started to crash after installation of the newest ToDoist plugin (OutlookTodoistADX 2.6.3.2). It just stuck in a few second after running the outlook. I don't even need to go to the the part with plugin....
I tried to reinstall TD it but the problem remains the same. Everything is working fine when I uninstall TD from control panel.

Since the Outlook just stuck, there is no error message I can provide. I just have to go to taks manager and kill the outlook process.

Hello Milan,

Please try to install the latest update 2.6.4 https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/49603436f7edf6fa3baa609dbdda1c1d/as/OutlookTodoist.Adx.exe and let me know if the issue persists.

Best regards,
David

Hi David
thanks for fast reaction.
it seems that its solved. Thanks.
Just few notes:
1/ I used link provided here https://todoist.com/outlook to download the 2.6.3.2 version so perhaps you can change this link to 2.6.4.

2/ The ToDoist.helper.exe file (both mentioned versions) is detected as malicious by AVG Antivirus. I suppose this is false positive. I already reported this but you can try and do the same on https://secure.avg.com/submit-sample

Anyway, you can close this case. Problem solved.

Milan,

We'll publish the update on our /outlook page very soon (today).

As for the Helper - that's indeed a false-positive. As most malware is being redistributed through the web and script-blocking plugins are the best way to protect against getting them, anti-virus software nowadays may be inaccurate and consider pretty much any file that's capable of establishing a connection (such as a file that sends a log in case of a crash).

Best regards,
David

update:
Since I'm working for AVG I checked with my colleagues and they fixed this FP righ away. So consider #2 as solved as well. ;-)
