It would be great to be able to color code the projects in Todoist. Currently it looks like its only possible to color code the labels.
Each project as a colored DOT on the left hand side of it. You can click on this dot when in edit mode for the Project to change the color. Besides this, there is no other color options for a Project at this time.
I notice I can create projects on my ipad and color code the project there and it appears colored in the web version...is there an easier way to accomplish this task without going back and forth between devices?
As described above, you can edit it on any platform. Just get into edit mode, the click on the colored dot, and pick the color.
how do you get into edit mode? I only see that option on my ipad.
is there a way for me to attach a screen shot to show you that the color coding options do not show up for me in the web version. and on the ipad the colors do not show up in edit unless it is a brand new project I've created.
On the web, please right-click on a project and choose "Edit project". When you do that, the project's name will become editable and while it is (while the project is in edit mode), please left-click on the circle to the left side of the project name. This is where you can pick a different color.
Similarly, on the iPad, you need to enter edit mode for project and then edit one of your existing projects where you can change the name and its color.
You can send a screenshot to email@example.com
Great! thanks, I feel like an idiot.
