Unable to collapse project

I have a project at the 1st level with four sub projects at the 2nd level. When I collapse the 1st project it closes as expected but then reopens. When it opens the small arrow on the left is pointing horizontally (indicating it is closed) plus it shows the total number of tasks (as it should when collapsed) but below all four sub projects are listed.

Hello Peter,

Please try to right-click on the TD icon in the system tray, use the Logout option there (which will also clear the app's cache), then log back in and if the issue persists, please let me know what's the exact project structure.

Is it something like this:

Project 1
| - Subproject 1
| - Subproject 2
| - Subproject 3
| - Subproject 4
Project 2
Project 3

or like this:
Project 1
| - Subproject 1
| - Subproject 2
| - Subproject 3
| - Subproject 4
Project 2
| - Subproject 1
| - | - Subsubproject 2
| - Subproject 3

Best regards,
David

Hi David

Logging out and back in did not help. By the way right-clicking on the TD icon and selecting logout does not work. I had to log out using the settings icon within the app.

The structure is:

Project 1
| - Subproject 1
| - | - Subproject
| - Subproject 2
| - | - Subproject
| - Subproject 3
| - | - Subproject
| - Subproject 4
| - | - Subproject
Project 2
| - Subproject 1
| - Subproject 2
| - Subproject 3
| - Subproject 4
Project 3

Where the problem lies with Project 2 not collapsing as it should. All the
rest are fine.

Thanks

I'm having this issue on both Windows and Mac (native Todoist app) and although a project structure with various sub-projects is opened, the arrow to the main project shows it's closed?!
Please see a screenshot here:
https://www.evernote.com/shard/s3/sh/88b58ada-d56d-416d-a83a-ae406166fddd/3924cfec22aa2923ed34800a66d369a0

I need to click twice on this arrow in order the menu to close but then when I move the cursor somewhere else, it opens again….
The irritation therefore comes when that project gets it’s own life. No matter what I do, click to close or open the sub-projects, it does something unexpected. It's not even consistent.

Please don't advise to close/restart, logout/login and similar.... We're not stupid.

Knowing myself (sic!) it won't be long before I'll get truly irritated by this and look for an alternative.
Right now there is no other app that works on all platforms and offers the project tree structure like Todoist, plus all other great things.
But the buggs in app functionality which are not even consistent in behaviour show that it's not just a line of code that can be fixed, it's more (according to a programmer buddy..) to work on.
That takes time and resources, I'm well aware of it, but since we're paying...

I've followed the advice, logged in into a "clean" TD, all OK.
Thanks very much!
