Hi Robert,

If you assign it to a specific desktop, the Mac app should stay on that desktop already. Can you please tell me the steps to replicate the issue?

Clyde

Hi Clyde,

i open up the desktop 1 where i see the mail, calendar and todoist windows. Mail and calendar are assigned to the desktop 1 via right-click on the dock icon. I did the same with the todoist icon. When i switch to desktop 3 or 4 or whatever and i click in mail or calendar it moves back to desktop 1. But if i click on the todoist icon it doesnt bring me back to desktop 1, it just fires up the window on every desktop.

Robert

Hi Robert,

I'll pass this along to our developers so they can take a look at it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Robert,

Our developer has looked into this and it looks like an OS problem. We've tried testing this with other Apple apps and had basically the same problem.

It works perfectly fine with the official apple apps, wunderlist and evernote for me...

Hi Robert,

Can you please try the following?

1. create 3 desktop
2. assign Calendar app (or any Apple app) to desktop 3
3. go back to desktop 1 and click on the Calendar app
4. instead of bringing you to desktop 3, it brings you desktop 2

Are you experiencing the same problem as I am? I'm using 10.9.4 as well. If you're getting a different result, would it be possible you record a screencast so I can take a look at it?

Clyde

Since you don't reply since ten days, i composed myself an answer: "Dear Robert, thanks for your time and the helping screenrecording. Our developers are giving there best to fix the problem. As a thankyou for your patience you will get the next year of Todoist Premium for free." Thanks :)

Hi Robert,

Sorry for the delay. We've been discussing internally as to how this should work with the default Apple apps and how our Mac app currently works now. Our Mac developer has made some changes that would address this issue and we will be releasing it soon though we don't have an exact date right now.

As soon as it's available, please update to it and let us know if it's working properly for you. Please note that we've based the fix based on how it should work.

I can't give you one whole year for free but I can give you an extra month for helping us fix the issue. Again, I do apologize for the delay. :-(

Clyde

Hi Robert and Kristen!

We have just released a new version of the Mac app that fixes different problems, and one of the fixed problems is related with assigning the app to one desktop.

This new version (5.x) is only available for Mac OS X 10.9+. You can download it from our Mac app website (https://todoist.com/mac) or on the Todoist app menu, clicking on "Check for Updates...". Soon it will be available to download from the Mac App Store.

Enric

Perfect, thank you! Works fine for me now! And you fixed the blurry TD Icon in the menubar - nice! I hope the icons in the interface (search, settingswheel, dots) itself will be retina soon.

The updater gave me a weird sentence about Todist 150 as you can see in the screenshot.

Hi Robert!

Yes, we also fixed the blurry TD Icon in the menu bar! And thanks for the report of "Todoist 150"! :-)
