Templates Will Not Import

JP

I keep trying to import a template that I exported last week and every time I attempt it Todoist tells me that there is an unknown error.

In an attempt to rectify this situation I have logged out of the browser (Chrome Version 32.0.1700.107 m), cleared the cookies and all browsing data, and logged back in. This was to no avail.

To see if it was a problem with my template, I exported a template from Todoist and immediately tried to import the template. Alas, I was give the same error.

When will the import template function be fixed on the backend?

Hello James,

Please tell me:
- Does this happen with different exported projects or just one?
- Does the name of the project or any task within it contain any special characters or HTML code?

Best regards,
David

I have tried it with 4 exported projects and get the same response.

There is no HTML or any special characters at all.

Thanks for the help.

James,

I still can't reproduce it :( I've successfully imported multiple projects from different templates (using the same browser you use) and it worked every time (thought some of these tasks had very complex dates).

Please tell me - are you trying to upload them through Chrome directly (that is, through the web-app) or through our Chrome extension? The extension won't allow you to upload files as it's Chrome's limitation and you can't upload files through a Chrome extension.

Best regards,
David
