Hello GF,

To change interface language to German, click on the gear icon on the top-right side of the page and select 'Todoist Settings' from the drop-down menu. Click 'edit' next to 'Language: English' and select 'Deutsch'.

Best regards,
Aygul

Hello Aygul,

thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I already changed the general language settings. The web application is in german, but the desktop app still is in english. It seems like the desktop app does not follow the general language settings of my account.

Do you have a solution for that?

best regards
Georg

Georg,

Let me make sure I understood you correctly. Have you changed your language settings not just in the app but also in the Windows app by clicking on the gear icon on the top-right side of the page and select 'Todoist Settings' from the drop-down menu?

If above didn't solve the problem, could you please try to log out and log in into the Windows app again.

Best regards,
Aygul

Hello Aygul,

logging out and in again solved the problem! Thank you very much!

best regards,

Same problem here, but logout/in does not help. Windows desktop app Settings send me to the web interface, where I can change the language, and it sticks for the web app (and for the todoist.com web site). But I can't change the language on the Windows app, no matter if I logout (from Windows app + web app), restart the Windows app, etc. I'm not sure what Aygul means above by "Have you changed your language settings not just in the app but also in the Windows app by clicking on the gear icon on the top-right side of the page and select 'Todoist Settings' from the drop-down menu?", since both methods send me to the exact same place.

Don't quite know how I did it, but somehow on a subsequent use of the Windows desktop app the Settings did not throw me to the web, and I managed to change the settings there, so success - but I don't know the recipe. It seems obvious that the settings of the desktop vs web app are not synchronized.
