Unable to find completed tasks

JD

I've just accidentally completed 3 tasks on my Android phone. I know there's no way to view them on their right now so I went to the computer and looked on the Web. I can't find them anywhere and I'm very concerned that I'm going to miss something that I should be doing!

I did try pressing Undo on the android app but it did nothing.

It's crazy with all the polish that these apps have, you don't have this essential feature. :-(

When you display a project, or your inbox, look at the bottom right of the task list. There is a small icon that allows you to display completed tasks. Once they are displayed, you can uncheck them.

Thanks for the reply Adrien. I've found the icon and can see completed tasks. However... recurring tasks don't show up in completed items. Is this a limitation of the system or am I doing something wrong?

Something that the todoist guys could consider would be incorporating the done items into their filters. So I could set up a filter for ":done & -7 days" (or something like that)

Hello James,

Unfortunately, you can't "uncomplete" a recurring task so the only way to roll it back is to change its date including a "starting" date. For example, if the pattern was "every 3 days" and it should still be overdue, please set it to "every 3 days starting 5 Feb 2014".

We will implement viewing completed tasks in our mobile apps in future updates.

Best regards,
David

Hi David

That's a bit confusing as a user. Even if you can't uncomplete the recurring tasks, you should still have a log of the tasks that were completed, and when.

I'm assuming the reason why you can't uncomplete is because you're keeping the same task instance/record updated in the database rather than cloning it each time there's a recurrence.

I'll look forward to seeing the completed tasks in Android.

Kind regards,

James

James,

You can find a full log of completed tasks including completion events of recurring tasks by clicking on the Karma score at the top and going to "View All Completed" where you can see them and remove single completions from the list.

However, this will not roll back the task to its state before you've checked it off. Once this option is available on Android, you'll be able to remove the occurrence from the completed list just as on the web. We're working on this already :)

Best regards,
David
