NOT HONORING Todoist premium voucher FREE OFFER

U

I purchased a Hp Printer and in the printer box was a voucher from todoist for a FREE 12-month subscription voucher for todoist premium, a $29 value ..this voucher includes the serial code. Your site does not accept the code and you refuse to give me a reason. Why are you refusing to honor your voucher?

Hello,

Please confirm - you went to https://todoist.com created a new Todoist account, then, while being logged into this account, you went to this location: https://todoist.com/redeem and when you've entered the code there, it said it's invalid?

Best regards,
David

Paid on Feb 25 to upgrade to Todoist Premium. I have not been upgraded and, for some reason, person I shared a list with seems to have been upgraded. Any explanation?

I have tried the sign in and sign out thing several times on the Web, in Outlook and on my Android---no joy.

Meanwhile, a person with whom I shared a list received an email from someone named Peter at Todoist asking for insight as to why that person had upgraded to Premium. The person who received the email hasn't upgraded; I have. What is going on?

Andrew,

Please confirm, did you upgrade through their account? It's possible that they got upgraded twice (2 years) instead of your account getting upgraded.

What was the process taken when making the purchase. What is the email address of the other person who did get upgraded.

Regards,
Brendon.

Brendon, I just checked my credit card account. The transaction is posted as "pending" so maybe it hasn't processed through your system yet for the next few hours. However, what has set me off is that, no, I upgraded using MY computer while signed into MY account and used MY credit card---I was never logged into anyone else's computer or account. Meanwhile, the person with whom I shared a list received an email from a Peter Thompson at Todoist thanking that person for upgrading to Premium when that person did not do an upgrade. The email address of the other person is libbythelark@gmail.com.

Let me know what you see. It is almost 1 am here and I want to finish this and go to sleep, but I can't do it until it is resolved. Thanks.

Andrew,

I have manually upgraded your account to Premium. I will look into how another account could have been upgraded, but it's not possible. Are you sure you were not signed into this account at any time?

I will see what I can find out though.

Regards,
Brendon.

Brendon---also, you asked for a reference number. Will that be in an email from Todoist? I don't have that yet. As I said, I can see that my credit card shows the transaction is "pending"--probably because it is still 25 Feb in the U.S. and it won't post until after midnight there, I'm guessing. (I'm on a business trip out of the U.S. at the moment.)

Thanks. Should I try to sign into Todoist now? Should I try first on the Web or in Outlook or on my Android? Do I have to download/reinstall anything? (Speaking of which, is there an Outlook plug-in update today? Should that be downloaded or is it automatic?) Thanks.

Andrew,

Yes, that would be in the email, but if it did some how upgrade the other account libbythelark@gmail.com which it is upgraded, then that email would have gone to them.

It is weird, as if it was a mistake, and you made two purchases on that account some how, it would show a expire date of 2016, but it shows 2015. Anyway, I am looking into it, as it is very weird and troublesome.

You just need to log out and back in again, on any platform you are using, the Outlook plugin should auto update if you already had it installed.

Regards,
Brendon.

Thank you for your help. The only tip-off I had that something went wrong (apart from not seeing the upgrade in my account until you fixed it manually) is that Peter Thompson at Todoist sent that letter to libbythelark@gmail.com thanking THAT person for doing the upgrade when it was me who did the upgrade. I only shared a list with that person and that person did not (yet) upgrade to premium. I will ask that person if an email was received with upgrade information other than the email from Peter Thompson.

Again, thank you for your help. Bye.
